ABOUT
Educator first. Narrator always.
“The combination is the entire company.”
Olu Afolayan, founder
Olu is a humanities instructional lead in an urban public-school district, licensed in English Language Arts, Moderate Disabilities and English as a Second Language (grades 5–12), with a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement. He has spent more than eleven years teaching in inclusion classrooms where up to a third of students had IEPs or 504 plans, supporting multilingual learners across WIDA levels 2–4.
He builds the differentiated materials teachers use every day: leveled texts, sentence frames, vocabulary scaffolds and document-based question packets. He designs professional learning for content-area teachers and has coordinated tiered supports across grades K–12. He is also an ACX-credentialed professional narrator.
Anyone can read your text aloud — and increasingly, so can a machine. What can’t be automated is the judgment that decides where a reader will lose the thread, which word needs a half-beat, and where to stop and check for understanding. Olu makes those calls for a living. Then he performs them.
